Special Educational Needs
It is estimated 20% of all children will experience a special educational need at some point in their school career.
At Mill Hill Primary Academy we work to identify these needs as early as possible by carefully monitoring every child’s progress and development. We aim to enable all of our pupils to have full access to a balanced curriculum which is tailored to their individual needs.
Any child identified as having a special need is placed on the Special Needs Register and we have a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator who is responsible to implementing the day-to-day operation of the school policy.
Parents of pupils with special educational needs are always informed and consulted, and where appropriate the help and guidance of the Learning Support Service and the Educational Psychologist are sought.
